Yes – I have chosen history, a quite unprofitable subject of study, and I completed it successfully with a university license. In addition, I added history of art as a subsidiary subject. Ok – I also studied communication science. At least some economical essentials.
I was very fascinated by my studies, although they were of a rather academic character. My wish to present real issues came true, when I engaged in an editorial team of a youth magazine. This magazine has been driven out of the market long ago. But its mindset has never lost me: to be fresh and curious. To edit issues on new systems and to publish them on- and offline.
Yes – in my forties I am surely no «digital native» anymore – you can call me a «digital immigrant». That's a person, who acquired a good knowledge of digital applications. Besides, it's a nice idea for me, since I wrote my university thesis about Swiss immigrants in the USA.
I am vital and active: my knowledge in online content is profound and up-to-date. Moreover I am proud of my broad experience of well over ten years in editorial, communicative and marketing oriented areas of working life in the print and especially the online sector.
If I were a programmer, you could call me a «full stack programmer» – one that masters every production stage from the first idea to the finally tested product.
